Ok, you're obviously Nolans fella then

Sorry.

Re: Kevin Nolan
I think he had a good first 6 months, Bigot. In terms of galvanising the dressing room and picking us up.

During the second half of that season, as well as the sending off against Millwall which was absolutely disgraceful, we went 7 home games without a win which saw us go from top of the League by 4 points with a game in hand into the play off places. His mythical leadership powers were nowhere to be seen, and neither were the goals.

in our first season back up he was alright, and since then he's been a liability, including the two red cards in the space of a month against Fulham and Liverpool when we were bang in relegation trouble.

Some of the shit might be overly harsh, but some of the defences of him as a 'great captain' and other such bullshit are equally ludicrous.

Re: Kevin Nolan
I really don't get how saying you want a poor footballer out of your club and would be willing to take a better one if it meant he goes is disrespectful.

Certainly no more disrespectful than how Nolan has behaved with his stupid sendings off at crucial times (xmas off) and his lack of fitness.

Fuck him

Nolan is 10 million english pounds richer since we signed him.

If a fan wants to call him a useless cunt on the wireless then so be it.

stewie griffin 10:07 Wed Aug 12

I agree. I think it falls somewhere in between.

I think his ability as a captain and a leader was highlighted when he came in because it was something we hadn't had for a while.

Very verbal. In the opponents and ref's face. getting stuck in and getting involved defending other players in fracas'. He was very good then.

Problem for Nolan is that none of that counts for anything when your not playing well. His form dipped and the goals dried up and he lost his confidence which reosrted to him doing alot of pointing and not much else.

He's been decent for us at times but just as poor in others. It's time for him to go. But I do think some of the fans like the mug on the radio and the booing at the grounds need to be a bit more dignified.

Re: Kevin Nolan
What Stewie says. Crept in through the Play Offs. First season in PL got sent off twice. Last 2 seasons done bugger all to justify his place.

And super sub for what?

Because he said he didn't even want Barton. But would take him just on the basis that it meant Nolan would be out.

I found it disrespectful to Nolan. You don't. We're different.

Mr Polite 10:17 Wed Aug 12
Re: Kevin Nolan
I don't want Barton, but if it was the only way in which it meant we didn't have Nolan I too would be for it as I suspect would a lot of fans.

I don't boo but I quite like that he gets booed too, how else do fans show the club that we don't want a player and won't put up with his performances.

If booing hastens his exit then I hope loads boo away if he ever gets to play again.

Bollocks to that Polite, Davenport and the rest of you.

Despite the occasions where Nolan let himself and the rest of us down, his positive contributions far outweigh his negatives, in the grand scheme of things.

The bloke on the radio is grade a MONG, and it makes me cringe to even hear about it.

Re: Kevin Nolan
I'm with Pea here.
To be honest I was going to post something similar.
I've been one of his harshest critics.
Time to lay of the man.
For the last two seasons he's been playing on previous abilities but the man who picked him should be the man who we would should vent are anger atbut he's gone now, so apart from us cuping our ear to Allardyce on every occasion possible what's the point. Nolan was never going to say "play him instead off me".
I was at the Astra game, the booing and heckling was childish and pathectic. All by adults, giggling like little girls.
I don't want him playing over anyone unless there is an absolute need.
You have to respect Nolan as he has not reacted like Amalfitano and thrown his toys out of the pram. He's come out and said honestly he wants to play as much as possible but maybe he has seen the light. If Zarate can change his spots then why not Nolan.
If a club comes in for him then he can go but we need as many positives at our club because there are many waiting for us to f*** up. Maybe Bilic can find a role for him here until he goes.
Playing under Allardyce for so long limits your abilities. He's the kind of negative manager that says your are only good at doing things this way. Hopefully Bilic will say "hey try this". If Nolan benefits from it whilst he is here then West Ham will too...

I won't bother booing if he ever returns to play against us - but I certainly won't give the fat chancer a good reception.

Booing him is not right. I think he is shit and not up to it anymore but he is our captain and wears our shirt so booing him is pretty disgraceful

NHD, we've had some good Scousers play for us and we have a top drawer one now in CRESSWELL. Nice to know that some of the Scousers who played for us absolutely loved it and the support, namely Stretch and Bish.

....deserves a standing ovation from everyone in the ground when he leaves. Brilliant captain for us. Not the best footballer we've had but kept the squad in good harmony and in the championship he was the leader we needed.
